How do I rent stuff from SVL?
It’s quite easy, really. Simply let me know what items you are looking for and I'll let you know if that's available. (Pretty soon you will be able to pick out the items you’d like to use for your event from the online inventory page!) Then, let me know so I can do up a full quote to send your way. Next, to reserve these items, a 50% deposit is necessary and signature on a rental agreement to initially book the items. The remaining 50% will be paid the week prior to your event. I'll have everything delivered (if you choose delivery) at the predetermined time. Your guests will marvel at your fabulous taste, then I will come back and pick it all up when you’re done (again, if you choose delivery and pick-up!)

How does delivery work?
SVL specializes in the Annapolis Valley/Halifax and South Shore of Nova Scotia. We may not turn down the chance for an awesome road trip depending on the destination and date of the event. Cost and delivery varies depending on the location, order size, times of delivery + pick-up, and accessibility of the site. Just let me know the details and I will let you know the price and if delivery is an option. I do have a minimum rental order for delivery to be an option. Please email me for details.

I’m just looking for a few select pieces, can I pick it up myself?
Certainly! If your order is placed and you have a suitable vehicle, pick-up and drop-off can be arranged for anytime during regular business hours. 

Can I come see SVL's treasures in person?
Absolutely! I love showing off my treasury. Simply contact me to set up a time to come visit at the studio in the heart of the Annapolis Valley and I'll give you the grand tour.  If you need me to come to you, there is a charge for site consultations that is redeemable towards your rental order. Please contact me for details.

I had something particular in mind that I don’t see in your inventory. Can you help me find it?
Scavenging for unique treasures happens to be one of my favourite things to do! Let me know what you had in mind, and I'll start searching. Also, new items are always strolling through the door so I may already have that unique piece you had in mind.

Eeek! I broke it…
These things happen, especially when everyone’s celebrating. I won’t be upset, but do charge a replacement fee if it’s broken or not returned, which is typically three times the rental price, but varies depending on the piece. If it’s a stain or a rip, there is a cleaning or repairing fee charge.

I'm indecisive....can I change my order after I’ve placed it?
Decisions can be tough, and tastes are ever evolving which is why you are free to switch it up at anytime up to two weeks before your event without penalty. Just keep in mind that all of my rentals are one of a kind and may not be available for your date. 

I love your stuff, but lack the vision a clue what to do with it. Can you come and make it nice and pretty?
A decorator at heart, I can’t say no to creating your vintage event. If you need help setting up your treasures, there is a minimum charge per hour to come in and make it fabulous for your event. Please contact me for pricing details.

I only need that marvellous sofa for a couple of hours. Do you offer an hourly rental rate?
Sure do! A perfect option for photographers or others needing our pieces for up to 4 hours. Please note that delivery is not available on hourly rentals.
